MAFIA 3 – What’s wrong with the graphics and where did the soap come from?

Mafia 3 came out and blew up the internet, not in a good way. The graphics were especially attacked.
I decided to make a short video in which I explain what’s wrong with the graphics of Mafia 3 and where, in fact, the blurriness of the picture came from.

In short, actually the highest resolution of textures on Lincoln’s face is 1024X1024.

Now why is the method stupid. In fact, everything is written like that on the first loading screens. This loading screen just hangs for about 3 seconds. And it’s simply impossible to read everything printed there.

Mafia 3 is very interesting from the point of view of the “use of technology”. The only thing that is not clear is the choice of texture resolution, I am sure that their sources are in much higher resolution.

The sweet fx mod fixes soap to a clear picture. I haven’t checked it myself, but that’s not what they said. I didn’t check it because I don’t even want to download this game. It’s better to replay part 2.

I tested. The colors are getting better, the clarity is a little better, but the smeared textures still remain, as the author of the video said.
That is, it has gotten better, but it’s still wow, what soap and porridge in 2016.

I suggest that all Mafia fans and those who are simply not indifferent send letters to the Hangar 13 office with a request to check their chief technician for sanity and mental health in general 🙂

Another interesting thing is that the demo version is in normal resolution, but the full version is cropped, although the toy itself is cool
